Acts 2:15-21 .  Pentecost and its fulfillment brings with it judgment.
Pentecost is not a religion, it’s an experience.  One for those who hunger and thirst.

Luke 11:11 - Hunger and thirst.  Pentecost won’t force itself on you, you must allow it, must open your heart to it.

Pentecost means 50 – 50 days after the Passover lamb was slain at Passover.  The 4^th Jewish feast of the year.  Feast of trumpets is at the end of Sept, beginning of Oct.  This is when the rapture will occur.

Pentecost is prophesied about; Is 28:10, Joel 2:28 .

Acts 2:38 is following Jesus in death, burial and resurrection.  The blood of Jesus is applied at repentance.  This is death.  We are buried with Him in baptism.  This is why we immerse – when you bury someone, you don’t sprinkle a little bit of dirt on them.  John 3:5 – be born of the water and the Spirit.  I John 5:8 Three that bear record: the Spirit, water and blood.  This is when you are saved.

II Thes 2:7.  Must not only know the truth but must love it.  In repentance, your sins come under the blood.  In baptism, the name washes away your sins. 

3 kinds of tongues: 1) evidence 2) gift of tongues with interpretation 3) prayer language; devotion.

The tongue is the most unruly member of the body.  I Cor 14 – unknown tongue – a tongue that only God knows, speaking directly to God.

Since the book of Acts, God deals with us through His Spirit, not through His flesh.
