You Have Not Passed This Way Before by Guest: Nathan Weaver
PromiseLand is not a splinter or split-off or hybrid. There has been no watering down or departure from any of the truth. We are part of the Abrahamic lineage. The enemy hates that, and we should not be ignorant of his devices. We do not have to worry about scandals involving our pastor – Kenneth Phillips; we can stand firm on the foundation he has given.
There’s a difference between seeing the kingdom and entering the kingdom.
Everything in the spiritual realm corresponds with something in the natural realm to help us understand it. We stand on the brink of Canaan after 40 years. God has promised houses we didn’t build, vineyards we didn’t plant; a land of milk and honey. Are we going to cross over or are we going to stay in the wilderness?
We cannot enter into the PromiseLand and not expect the enemy to come against us.
Jesus was tempted just as we are. When Satan tempted Him in the wilderness, he injected just a little bit of doubt: “If . . .” That has been his tactic since the beginning with Eve. Then Satan took Jesus to the pinnacle and twisted Scripture.
Satan doesn’t have anything that we – mankind – didn’t give him. He oppresses and depresses us to take the things that God has promised us. We have to decide that he can’t have those promises.
The bruising of Jesus’ heal in the crushing of the serpent’s head resulted from an act of offense against the enemy.
