Worship Zone Mission

To assist the children of Promiseland in the practical application of GOD’S Word to their lives, equipping them with the knowledge and understanding of the Fullness of GOD’S Love through His Word and Spirit, leading by example in worship, prayer, fasting, preparation and enthusiasm.

Worship Zone began in 1998 as a Sunday Morning worship service for K-5th grade as a desire in the hearts of several children's ministry workers, under the leadership of then director, Tricia Gibbs.  Using a variety of skits, dramas, music and illustrations, it brought the Word of GOD to life before the open hearts and wide eyes of the children.  It was originally, though loosely, based on the Willie George curriculum developed for the targeted age group by Church on the Move, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Worship Zone has progressed and adapted throughout the years, and is currently a Wednesday night praise and worship service.  It was moved from Sunday mornings to Wednesday nights to accomodate the growth of a large, progressive church, and has survived the growing pains, due in large part to the efforts of tireless leaders such as Debbie Dossett and Joe and Alma Garza, along with countless faithful volunteers.
