A Summary of First Coming Prophecies

There are over 300 prophecies in the Old Testament about the First Coming of the Messiah, but many of these are repetitious. When the repetitious ones are deleted, we are left with 108 specifically different prophecies, all of which were fulfilled in the life of Jesus of Nazareth.
The fulfillment of so many prophecies in the life of one person is overwhelming proof that Jesus is the Messiah of God. The odds of so many prophecies being fulfilled coincidentally in the life of any person is beyond the realm of probability. Fulfilled prophecy is thus one of the most substantial proofs that Jesus was who He said He was-namely, the anointed Son of God (Mark 14:62-63 ).
In the following outline, only one source is given for each prophecy, but keep in mind that some of the prophecies are repeated several times in the Old Testament Scriptures.
A detailed listing of both Old Testament and New Testament verses pertaining to these prophecies can be found in The Christ in Prophecy Study Guide. Available at The PromiseLand Bookstore (512) 458-4582
